“Fame is cool, but if my music can have [a positive impact] on people, that’s the goal.”
It isn’t the money or the Billboard charts that interests Raimie. He toils for hours in his homemade studio day after day because he loves the grind.
His personality bleeds into his music, even if that means some darker tunes. The music and message is meant to reach and resonate with people who may also be in a tough spot.
Even though some messages convey the struggles he’s experienced personally, he also shows that there is a light at the end of the tunnel
“There’s still hope for you and me/ there’s still hope that we could be/ everything we wanted and dreamed/ we gon’ make it through as a team”
Raimie was born in Northern New Jersey, just 5 miles from the George Washington Bridge into Manhattan. He discovered his love of music at an early age, taking drum and piano lessons. At only 23 years old, Raimie has lived in the U.S., Canada and Australia – he is passionate about travel and loves meeting people from all over the world and from different cultures. Raimie has been rapping for over 5 years, but also produces and engineers his own songs, and collaborates with other artists on their tracks.
In 2017, he attended the prestigious Cre8 Academy by Westlake Studios (Rihanna, The Weeknd, Quincy Jones, Michael Jackson) to develop and fine tune his mixing, mastering and production skills. Raimie divides his time between New York and Los Angeles. When he’s not in the studio, Raimie can be found collaborating with other artists (in the U.S. and abroad), developing new and creative beats, or playing on the basketball courts. His influences include Big Sean, Audio Push, Ace Hood, Meek Mill, and Mac Miller (R.I.P).
